Getting to 25-0-1 was easy, but getting to 26-0-1 was hard.

Nationally ranked Santa Monica struggled against Jurupa Valley in the Southern Section Division IV finals, but ended up beating the Jaguars, 2-0, to keep their national title hopes alive. The Vikings are ranked No. 2 in the nation by StudentSports.Soccer.Rivals.com.

‘SAMO’ will likely be seeded No. 1 in next week’s SoCal Regionals in Division I. If they can win that tournament they might finish the season as the best team in the nation.
