The Colony Titans won their 21st consecutive game and also the Southern Section Division III-A girls’ basketball crown in a scrap-fest with a Mt. Baldy League-foe, the Chaffey Tigers.

The Titans won, 57-53, in nabbing their first division title.

The guy responsible for all this is first-year Colony Coach Ed Taylor.

Taylor pulled off a rare feat. He now has won a division title in both boys’ and girls’ basketball, winning his boys’ crown back in 1991 with Pomona. ‘I wasn’t thinking about it at all,’ Taylor said.

Now, Taylor should be thinking about it -- that’s some accomplishment, Coach.
