El Modena senior Vinny Pisani notched a takedown in the first overtime period to defeat El Dorado Hills Oak Ridge junior Kyle West, 3-1, in the 135-pound finals of the CIF State championships. Pisani trailed, 1-0, going into the third period but got an escape to force overtime.
Temecula Valley 171-pounder Jake Meredith is the final Southern Section wrestler with a shot at a state title.
