Sure, Jrue Holiday gets a lot of the credit for Campbell Hall’s success this season, but what about Dallas Rutherford?

Since transferring from Granada Hills Hillcrest Christian two years ago, the guy has anchored the Vikings’ defensive effort and has been a dominating scoring force in the paint. And all those teams that double up on Holiday find out the hard way just how good Rutherford can be when he’s under the basket with some 6-foot guard trying to stop him.

By the way, if you’re planning on attending Thursday night’s semifinal between Campbell Hall and Bakersfield Garces at Harvard-Westlake, be sure to arrive early. An estimated 150 people were barred entry into Tuesday night’s game and Campbell Hall Coach Terry Kelly expects another full house.

Also, Rosamond may have lost tonight, but the Roadrunners never gave up despite the depressing numbers on the scoreboard.
