In a game for early season bragging rights between two of the top contenders for the City Section baseball championship, Chatsworth knocked off Cleveland, 7-1, Thursday, with James Wharton crushing two home runs off Stanford-bound left-hander Chris Reed.

If Cleveland expects to challenge the Chancellors in the West Valley League, it better shore up its defense. Two dropped balls at first base is not how to beat Chatsworth, which lost Mike Moustakas and Matt Dominguez to graduation but still plays great defense.
