King leads top-seeded Taft, 53-49, going into fourth quarter

Riverside King is trying to knock off its second consecutive City Section powerhouse in the Southern California Regional Division I playoffs. The Wildcats go into the fourth quarter with a 53-49 lead.

Eric Wise, a 6-5 senior, keeps finding openings in Taft’s defense. He has scored 19 points. Larry Drew Jr. is trying to rally the Toreadors, but he’s not getting much support. Drew has 19 points.
