Jordan Hamilton had a big second quarter against King in the Southern California Regional Division I final, scoring 11 of his 16 first-half points to help Dominguez to a 39-34 lead at the Sports Arena.

Hamilton scored 15 of his 35 points in the second quarter back in January, when the Dons defeated King, 68-60, at UCLA.

About the only thing he didn’t make were his free throws. He’s three for seven from the line, but one of his misses actually provided the highlight of the half. Hamilton missed two in a row midway through the second quarter, but grabbed the second as it rolled off the rim and dunked it.

Hamilton later missed the front end of a one and one, but only one Dominguez player went for the rebound and he passed it back to Hamilton, who scored on a short jumper for a 39-33 lead.

Kawhi Leonard and George Fields have 11 points each to lead King and Eric Wise has 10 points and five rebounds.
