There’s a kid at St. Anthony with an otherwordly pitching line -- 34 strikeouts and no earned runs in 16 innings. Those are the numbers of Jeff Curran, a sophomore right-hander with a 2-0 record and one save. We need to find out what he’s throwing -- I’m guessing heat.

In fact, the Saints, as a team, have been playing in another stratosphere so far, averaging more than 11 runs a game in their four wins, and they just might be the early fave to win the Santa Fe League crown.

And this should be no shocker, St. Anthony is undefeated at 4-0.
