It appears as if the bigwigs over at UCLA were so impressed with Byron Moore following a recent visit to Westwood that the Bruins had no other choice but to, ultimately, offer the junior from Narbonne a football scholarship. Moore, apparently, was just as impressed.

The two-way standout met with members of the coaching staff last weekend, including coach Rick Neuheisel and offensive coordinator Norm Chow. According to these quotes from his father, things went so well that Moore plans on returning soon -- Saturday, in fact -- to talk shop with secondary guru Tim Hauck.

Arizona offered a scholarship and Cal, Oregon and LSU are among the other programs that have been in contact with him. Moore, however, remains non-committal at this stage, though he does list UCLA as the early front-runner. Guess the Bruins left a lasting impression.
