The Ross Branson girls’ basketball team continued to double up on Mission Prep in the girls’ Division V state title game, building a 22-11 second-quarter lead before the Royals scored the last four points of the quarter to make it a seven-point game at the half here at Arco Arena in Sacramento.

Mission Prep needs to find a way to put the ball in the hole. The Royals made only four of 20 field goal attempts in the first half, compared to seven-of-22 shooting for Branson. Mission Prep also has 12 turnovers, so the Royals should feel fortunate to only trail by single digits.
