The shootout continues in the Division III boys’ state final.

Santa Margarita ran a play for Klay Thompson and he thanked his coach by hitting a three-pointer. He then had a slam on a breakaway and hit another three-pointer, giving him 29 points in 21 minutes.

Sacramento guard Chase Tapley answered with a three-pointer of his own, giving him 28 points in 20 minutes. The state championship scoring record in Division III is 37 points by Craig McMillan of Cloverdale in 1983.
