Track: JSerra high jumper is soaring

There’s no doubt who has become the standout during the early season of track and field. It’s sophomore Harrison Steed of JSerra. He cleared 7 feet in the high jump Saturday during the Triton Invitational at San Clemente. He reached 6-10 earlier this season.

Also turning in a good effort was Oaks Christian’s Jules Sharpe, who cleared 6-10. Oaks Christian football standout Chris Owusu, headed to Stanford, ran 10.42 seconds in a wind-aided 100 meters.
