The Office for Civil Rights from the U.S. Department of Education has launched a second investigation involving Saugus High. The OCR is investigating an allegation of retaliation against Tim Bullock, the parent of a Saugus softball player who filed a Title IX complaint last December against the William S. Hart Union High School District.

Bullock alleges that Saugus disbanded its booster club after he filed a complaint that Saugus’ softball field is inaccessible to students with disabilities and that the district failed to provide ‘benefits, opportunities and services to female athletes’ at Saugus, Hart and Canyon Country Canyon in regard to softball facilities and locker rooms.

The OCR has yet to rule on the earlier complaint.
