Track and field: City relay teams to participate in Trojan Invitational

Some of the City’s strongest track programs will have relays teams running in the Trojan Invitational at USC on Saturday.

Birmingham, Crenshaw, Dorsey and Taft are among the boys’ and girls’ relay teams expected to participate. The City squads will compete in races that include the 4x100 meter, 4x400m, sprint medley relays of 200m, 400m and 800m, and distance medley relays of 800m, 1,200m, and 1,600m.

USC will be among the 17 colleges and universities competing in the Invitational. Other local participants include Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Los Angeles and Cal State Northridge.

Tickets are $5. The meet begins at 9:30 a.m.
