Track: Taft girls win distance relay at Trojan Invitational

The Taft girls’ relay team won the first prep event at the Trojan Invitational at USC Saturday morning.

The Toreadors ran the four-person distance medley -- 1,200m, 400m, 800m and 1,600m -- in 13 minutes 02.40 seconds.

Taft sophomore Fany Alvarado ran the anchor mile leg in 5:28 to give Taft the victory.
