Dane Suttle, former City player of the year, commits to Pepperdine

Dane Suttle, the former City Section boys’ basketball player of the year from Westchester, has committed to Pepperdine, where he’ll play for Coach Tom Asbury, who was an assistant when Suttle’s father, Dane Sr., played at Pepperdine.

Suttle, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard pictured far left, played this past season at Summit Prep in Simi Valley.

He’s another excellent pickup for Asbury, who has been focusing on re-establishing Pepperdine’s reputation in Southern California recruiting circles.

Earlier, Pepperdine picked up a commitment from 6-10 Corbin Moore from Los Alamitos.
