Long Beach Poly looked strong in winning the 400 relays in the boys’ and girls’ events this afternoon at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays.

I pulled up at the stadium just after the boys’ won in a state-leading 41.36 seconds, but just in time to see Ashley Woodford, Jasmine Joseph, Erin Reid and Akawkaw Ndipagbor win the girls’ relay in 46.92.

The Jackrabbits didn’t quite meet their season-best time of 46.27, which is the second-best outdoor mark in the nation, but I’m guessing they were more concerned with just getting in a clean run.

Check back this afternoon/evening for more highlights.
