The Orange County Championship on Friday at Trabuco Hills feature top-seeded Foothill against third-seeded St. Margaret’s. And I have to tell you, it looks as if it could be a long night for the Tartans, who upset second-seeded Corona del Mar to get to this game.

Foothill scored twice in the first 29 seconds, before I even had a chance to write down the lineup completely. If St. Margaret’s is to find its way, Coach Gerry Manning may want to figure a way to stop Riley Hales, who has a hat trick at the 5:28 mark of the game. Put another way, it has taken Hales 6 minutes 32 seconds to score three goals for the Knights.

Foothill, with the unreadable yellow numbers on its white jerseys, is in the driver’s seat, 5-1.
