For the second consecutive year, the girls’ Division II diving title remained a family affair. However, there was a slightly younger flair to this spring’s result.

A year after Pasadena Poly’s Felicitas and Cosima Lenz finished 1-2 in the divisional championships, younger sister Cosima edged out her junior sibling by four points to claim the Division II title at Westlake HS on Tuesday afternoon.

Cosima, a sophomore, had a couple of amazing dives early on to take the lead and managed to stay ahead for the entire event despite a strong comeback in the late rounds by Felicitas. In the end, Cosima finished with 547.05 points and her older sister came in at 544.

Check out these photos from this afternoon:

Unfortunately, everybody who made it out to Westlake to see this epic, sisterly diving duel had to endure some delays because of someone spilling water on the scoring computer. As a result, I couldn’t get out of Westlake until around 6:30 p.m. and that’s why I’m blogging so late.

Here are the final results
, and I’ll have a video interview with the Lenz sisters posted soon.
