Girls’ lacrosse: Palos Verdes takes early lead in North Division final

It’s a high-scoring game out here at Mira Costa High, where top-seeded Palos Verdes has built a 7-3 lead over Mira Costa with 6:30 left in the first half of this championship game.

After Sammie Pool scored on an unassisted goal about five minutes in to the game to give the second-seeded Mustangs a 1-0 lead, Palos Verdes responded with three goals in less than three minutes.

Nikki Solaro, the Sea Kings top scorer, has a pair of goals so far.
