The best performance from a football-player-turned-spring-track star at the Southern Section-Toyota Division II preliminaries came from Agoura’s Kevin Graf. The USC-bound offensive lineman posted the top-qualifying distance in the shot put at 58-7.

Not only was the mark his best of the season, but it also put him among the top-10 shot putters in the state. Graf now has to be considered a legitimate contender for at least a division title. But is the two-sport standout good enough to beat Loyola’s Nigel Davies, who posted a 59-7 earlier this season?
