Lacrosse: Free training for girls’ coaches

In an attempt to increase the number of girls’ lacrosse players and coaches in Southern California, Beach Cities Youth Lacrosse is training and certifying high school girls’ lacrosse players to coach club teams for middle and elementary school girls.
A free training session is scheduled for Saturday morning at Newport Ridge Park in Newport Coast. The project is funded by the LA84 Foundation.
High school girls interested in participating in the event must register before Saturday by contacting program coordinator Jerry Hirsch at jerry.hirsch@gmail.com
There are more than 100 high school boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams in Southern California.
