Boys’ basketball: Former assistant takes over at Hueneme

Brendan Garrett has been named the new boys’ basketball coach at Hueneme, and he’ll be in charge of turning around a team that finished 3-15 last season. Garrett was an assistant coach under Craig Davis last season.

According to the Ventura County Star, the school is also searching for a new girls’ basketball coach.
