Boys’ golf: It’s hot and windy at Mission Lakes Country Club

The hot trend this week has to be the weather.
It was hot this weekend and it’s hot again today/Monday, especially here at Mission Lakes Country Club in Desert Hot Springs, where the Southern Section-Toyota boys’ golf individual finals and SCGA qualifying is taking place.
Out of a field of 90, 24 individual players will advance to the CIF/SCGA and state qualifying tournament on May 29 at the SCGA Member’s Course in Murrieta.
Below is a video of Great Oak sophomore Alex Fross teeing off from Hole 1. You can hear the wind in the background. You won’t be able to see the heat, so you are just going to have to take my word for it.
