Softball: Teams set for Championship, Invitational division finals

Top-seeded San Pedro will meet second-seeded El Camino Real in the City Section’s Championship division title game at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at UCLA.

San Pedro defeated fifth-seeded Granada Hills, 2-0, and El Camino Real beat sixth-seeded Granada Hills Kennedy, 4-2, in the semifinals Monday at South Gate Park,

In the Invitational final, No. 17 Crenshaw, an 8-1 winner over No. 12 Verdugo Hills in Monday’s semifinals, will meet No. 11 Lincoln, a 5-2 winner over No. 18 Eagle Rock. The title game is 2:30 p.m. May 28 at UCLA.

The Smalls Schools Division championship game between No. 1 Sherman Oaks CES and No. 3 Elizabeth is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday at Birmingham High.
