Baseball: Valencia and Lakewood locked in pitcher’s duel

Valencia and Lakewood are putting on a fine pitching demonstration in its Division I second-round meeting this afternoon with the score remaining tied at 0-0.

Valencia’s Robbie Mousselli has allowed just one hit -- a bunted ball that came to rest on the third base line. His Lakewood counterpart, Derrick Dingeman, has surrendered two hits, but the Vikings haven’t had much luck on the basepaths.

The Vikings got two runners on base with one out in the fourth inning thanks to a single by Mousselli and Tommy Ferndino getting smacked with a pitch, but they couldn’t make anything of it.
