Boys’ volleyball: Dos Pueblos isn’t going down easy

Well, it looks as if Dos Pueblos plays its best when its season is in danger of ending. Thanks to the efforts of Ben Johnson and Will McCracken, the Chargers held off a surging Valencia squad to take Game 3 of their Southern Section-Toyota Division II semifinal, 25-23.

So much for my prediction of a Vikings sweep. Still, how was I to know Valencia was going to drop its first game in the postseason after dominating the first two tonight in its own gym? I’ll let you know what happens in Game 4.
