Boys’ volleyball: Mira Costa jumps to quick lead over Loyola

Mira Costa coasted as if it was playing an exhibition match, beating Loyola, 25-18, in the first game of their Southern Section-Toyota Division I semifinal.

The Mustangs contained Loyola’s dynamic (and UCLA-bound) Brian Scilacci, while Dylan Kordic racked up a couple of kills, including the game-clincher for Mira Costa, which never trailed.
