Track and field: Don’t miss Thursday’s City Section finals

The City Section track and field finals will be held Thursday at Birmingham HS and, thankfully, it looks as if the top LAUSD athletes won’t have to compete in the kind of sweltering conditions that afflicted their Southern Section counterparts Saturday. Unfortunately, the weather report is calling for more wind Thursday.

Here’s the heat sheet for Thursday’s finals. The field events begin at 2:30 p.m., and the track events start at 5:30 p.m. Hope to see you there.
