Matt Meisels, who guided Valley Torah to three consecutive league championships in the late 1990s, has been re-hired as boys’ basketball coach.

Meisels led the Wolfpack to a 103-51 record from 1993 to 1999 and is excited to be back at the helm. ‘I’ve always wanted to come back,’ he said. ‘This program has always been dear to my heart.’

Meisels has conducted numerous youth basketball clinics with Lakers assistant coach Jim Cleamons and is a former NBA Summer League free-throw coach. He will also teach physical education classes at the Valley Village-based school starting in the fall.
