Brian Frattali’s two-run single with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth inning broke a 2-2 tie and gave visiting Mater Dei a 4-2 lead over top-seeded Los Alamitos in a Southern Section-Toyota Division I quarterfinal playoff game. The Monarchs added another run and are three outs from victory.
