Softball: San Pedro captures City Section championship

Thanks to Perelini Koria’s 45th career home run (a state record) and a 14-strikeout effort by Long Beach State-bound Taylor Petty, top-seeded San Pedro won its eighth City Section Championship Division title in nine years with a 3-1 victory over El Camino Real Wednesday at Easton Stadium on the campus of UCLA.
