Gosh, everything crumbled fast for Derek Klena and South Hills. A single, a walk, another single, a two-base error and sacrifice fly and suddenly second-seeded Sherman Oaks Notre Dame has a 3-2 lead, heading into the sixth inning of the Southern Section-Toyota Division III final Thursday at Dodger Stadium.

Here’s what went down...

Notre Dame’s Trevor Gee laced a laser-beam single that kicked off right fielder Cameron Deen’s glove and two runners scored as Gee ended up on third. Gee then scored on Nik Rodarte’s sacrifice fly.

That was likely Klena’s last inning on the mound.
