Baseball: South Hill’s Derek Klena is a star in the making...

...in Hollywood?!

Derek Klena, a junior, will take the mound for South Hills Thursday at Dodgers Stadium when the Huskies square off against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame in the Southern Section-Toyota Division III final at 4:30 p.m. His numbers are good: 5-0, 1.00 ERA.

But Klena is also an actor/singer/performer. The 16-year-old even has his own IMDB account.

Judging by his YouTube videos, his future seems to be in the performing arts, but that’s purely speculation. I doubt, however, that he’ll be thinking about acting or signing when he takes the mound today -- unless it’s to act like a champion or to sing Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions.’
