Boys’ golf: It’s Andrew Perez vs Johnny MacArthur in yet another playoff

Hart’s Johnny MacArthur’s five-under-par 67 Thursday at the SCGA Member’s Course in Murrieta on Monday was the lowest score of the day at the CIF/SCGA Southern California Regional until Andrew Perez of Santa Barbara also turned in a 67.

Perez beat MacArthur in a two-hole playoff to win the Southern Section-Toyota individual championship in Mission Lakes Country Club in Desert Hot Springs last week.

Neither McArthur nor Perez could believe that they had finished tied for first -- again. Nobody in the clubhouse, for that matter, can believe the two will have another playoff for another title.
