After three innings, top-seeded Northview and Diamond Ranch remain locked in a scoreless tie in the Southern Section-Toyota Division IV final Friday at Dodger Stadium.

Things got off to a good start for Northview thanks to Ruben Ramirez’s leadoff single to shallow center field, but he fell victim to a perfectly-executed 1-6-3 double play. A great heads-up throw by pitcher Gus Lanuza managed to just beat Ramirez to second and Jesse Gonzalez did a great job re-routing the ball to first to get Bernie Juarez.

Unfortunately for Diamond Ranch, it went down 1-2-3 for the second consecutive inning.
