There seems to be a large contingent of Shane Fraijo fans, pictured, sitting behind home plate. I only noticed them once I stood up in the press box for the national anthem and I managed the snap off a quick photo before they sat down again.

There’s got to be at least 20 of them cheering on their favorite Northview player and why not. Fraijo has played a big part in the Vikings success. He’s hitting .388 on the season with 19 RBIs.

Fortunately for the Vikings, Diamond Ranch failed to get any runs across the plate despite opening the bottom of the first with a couple singles. Aaron Elias struck out Nick Greene and Kyle Lengyel to strand runners on third and second to keep the score tied, 0-0, in their Southern Section-Toyota Division IV championship contest.

Northview went down 1-2-3 in the top of the inning.
