Boys’ basketball: Simi Valley’s Meza heading to Azusa Pacific

Simi Valley forward Mike Meza, who played a vital role in the Pioneers’ undefeated Marmonte League season, has committed to Azusa Pacific University. The senior 6-foot-4 standout averaged 20 points a game and 5.5 rebounds last season.

Along with Pepperdine-bound teammate Lorne Jackson, Meza was one of the top players in the region last winter. I’m glad his immense skills weren’t overlooked by college recruiters.
