Football: Jefferson’s Johnson steps down as coach

Doi Johnson, who has been coaching football in the City Section since 1992, has resigned as coach at Jefferson and has become an administrator in Lynwood.

Johnson has coached at Jefferson since 2002. He was a past president of the City Section football coaches’ association. He said his coaching days ‘are over.’

Former assistant David Wiltz will take over the Jefferson program.
