Softball: El Modena expands its lead to 12-4 in Division II final

El Modena added three more runs in the top of the seventh to pad its lead to 12-4 in the Southern Section-Toyota Division II championship game Friday at Barber Park in Irvine. The Vanguards tied the section record for most runs scored in a championship game. The record was set in 1983 by Santa Maria St. Josephs.

Glendora is down to what figures to be its last at-bats of the season. Due up for the Tartans are their Nos. 7, 8 and 9 batters.
