Blair has hired George Wrighster, the father of NFL tight end George Wrighster III, as its girls’ varsity basketball coach.

Wrighster, who is the executive director and coach of an AAU team, is able work at the high-school level because the Southern Section changed its rules regarding club coaches in April.

Wrighster is taking over a Vikings team that won the Rio Hondo League title last season. He replaces David Jensen, who guided Blair to a 20-6 record in his only season at the school. Jensen was approved last night to be San Marino’s coach.
