John Michael Davis has been busy in 2008. First, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound senior-to-be linebacker transferred from Santa Margarita to Tesoro amid some minor controversy after playing two years with Eagles. And then, there was the business of keeping all the Division I programs interested in him guessing about which school was his favorite.

Never one to sit still, Davis is back in the news. There are reports circulating on the Internet indicating he verbally committed to Boise St. on Thursday, choosing the Broncos despite being recruited by the likes of Cal, Oregon and New Mexico. Interestingly enough, UCLA and USC had recently been in contact with him as well.
