It appears that Los Angeles Loyola is going to have two outstanding freshmen guards enroll this fall in Jacob Hazzard, grandson of former UCLA Coach Walt Hazzard, and Brendyn Taylor, brother of former Oregon standout Bryce Taylor.

Brendyn Taylor was supposed to play for his father, Brian, coach of View Park Prep, but he’s attending summer school at Loyola and is expected to be there in the fall.

It will be difficult for either Hazzard or Taylor to play on varsity because the Cubs have lots of returning guards. That means watching Loyola’s JV team ought to be fun.
