Football: Portis’ 94-yard kickoff return gives Servite lead

An amazing, 94-yard kickoff return by Greg Portis has pushed Servite out to 13-10 lead with 2:18 before halftime. Portis deked and dived around several would-be Edison defenders and, with some blockers in front of him, sped away down the Edison sideline to the end zone.

It would have been a perfect play had he not drawn an unsportsmanlike penalty for flipping into the end zone. And that probably had something to do with Servite missing the extra point.

Edison’s Lucas Vanderman kicked a 40-yard field goal just before Portis’ TD.
