Football: St. Bonaventure leads Crespi at halftime, 10-0

Let’s say that No. 3-ranked Crespi is suffering the USC disease. The Celts have played an uninspiring first half of football and trail No. 6 St. Bonaventure, 10-0, at halftime.

Their offense is out of sync. There have been dropped passes, poor timing between quarterback and receivers and little display of speed and athleticism. St. Bonaventure’s defense has been hitting hard from the opening moments, and its secondary is playing outstanding.

There’s still time for the Celts to make a comeback, but quarterback Bryan Bennett is going to have to have a talk with his receivers to get on the same page.
