More cheerleading drama out of Texas...

The varsity cheerleading squad at Nacogdoches HS is up to its pom poms in controversy following a routine in which they mimicked the execution of school rivals with toy guns. The act has stirred up plenty of furor in the local community even though the school principal can’t understand what all the hub-bub is about.

It appears the cheerleading squad was just trying to have some twisted fun with their new CD featuring the iconic theme music to the 1966 spaghetti western, ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.’ And they thought pretending to shoot their fellow cheerleaders in the back of the head execution style would be the perfect message to send to the other team.

Here’s some words of advice to the Nacogdoches cheerleading squad -- develop some common sense. Oh, and a little bit of conscience wouldn’t hurt because not everyone in this world shares your Not-Another-Teen-Movie sense of humor.

Besides, if you would have just played that Jonas Brothers album like every other cheerleading squad in the universe, Disney’s censors would have prevented you from getting into this mess.
