Don’t bother showing up at Tesro High tonight for the South Coast League showdown against Mission Viejo unless you have a ticket. It’s sold out, with the school hoping to pack in some 6,000 fans.

The game will be televised live by FSN Prime Ticket, but that didn’t stop the enthusiasm of fans who started running into the bleachers when the gates opened at 5:30 p.m., two hours before kickoff. Mothers and fathers, students and kids, all running to get a good seat. And that was after arriving an hour earlier.

Both teams are 5-0. Mission Viejo, ranked No. 3 by The Times, is the favorite, but No. 22 Tesoro beat the Diablos last season, 28-24, ending their 39-game league winning streak.
