With so many talented wing players in the Southland, Kawhi Leonard is overlooked more often than not. And the slight is understandable considering Jordan Hamilton, Tyler Honeycutt and Solomon Hill call the greater Los Angeles area home.

Division I scouts, however, have been well aware of Leonard’s exploits for quite some time now. In fact, San Diego State has shown the most interest in the 6-foot-6 senior from Riverside King, and according to Rivals.com, the Aztecs landed a commitment from him Tuesday.

Several Pacific 10 Conference programs had been in contact with Leonard, including UCLA and USC, although he did not receive an offer from either school. He will join fellow Southern California commits Eric Lawton and Alec Williams at San Diego State.
