Football: Los Alamitos closes to within 7-6

Jonathan Cheri caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Clark Evans with 9:57 left in the second quarter but the extra point was no good, and Los Alamitos trails Edison, 7-6, in their Sunset League showdown.

Los Alamitos recovered the ensuing kickoff on the Edison 25, and is trying to take the lead.
