Football: Moorpark leads Thousand Oaks at halftime, 13-10

Thanks to a costly Thousand Oaks turnover on a bumbled punt return, visiting Moorpark leads Thousand Oaks, ranked No. 24 by The Times, 13-10, at halftime.

Steven Picchini has kicked two field goals for the Musketeers, the latest coming on a 22-yard attempt after Moorpark failed to score a touchdown despite making it to the Thousand Oaks 1-yard line. An offsides penalty and an incomplete pass forced the Musketeers to go the field goal route.

Quarterback Brody Rohach has completed eight of 16 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown -- a seven-yard pass to Tim Vizzi. Running back Tyler Peterson has rushed for 68 yards.

John Lister scored on a 43-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, becoming Thousand Oaks all-time career leader in points. He has 63 yards in 11 carries.
